What
medium is used?
The
portrait will be done in colour and/or watercolour pencil on acid-free
paper. A fixative will then be applied to the image.
How
long does it take?
Portraits
are completed on a first-come-first-served basis. The time is variable
dependent on the finished size and the amount of detail to the image. When
a person commissions a portrait, an estimate of cost and completion
date is generated. When the client approves the estimate the commission
is undertaken.
Do
the portraits require any special treatment?
No.
The portrait will be pre-treated to ensure colour vibrancy and fidelity.
Like all fine art, the portrait should be placed in a place of prominence
away from direct sunlight. Placed in a picture frame to prevent the
collection of dust, your family will enjoy your portrait for many years
to come.
Will
the final portrait be sent to me?
Once
the portrait is complete a 'proof' copy is generated and sent to you
(the commissioner) for approval. After your approval, arrangements
will be made for your portrait delivery.
